A physical therapy company serving nine states has entered the West Michigan market by opening a facility along a major retail corridor in town.

Oak Brook, Illinois-based Athletico Physical Therapy — which serves more than 340 facilities, including several in metro Detroit and southern Michigan — has opened a location in Grand Rapids, at 5925 28th St. SE.

Athletico’s services include physical therapy, occupational therapy, workers’ compensation-related services, endurance rehabilitation and complimentary injury screenings.

The location will also provide early morning and evening hours, appointment scheduling 24-48 hours from initial contact, ongoing patient education on diagnosis, treatment plans and prescribed home-exercise programs.

Brad Zielaskowski, facility manager at Athletico, said he’s looking forward to being part of the Grand Rapids clinic.

“We hope to develop deep relationships with residents and physicians and to be an active member of the Grand Rapids health and wellness community,” Zielaskowski said.
