A supplier of apparel for promotional uses is shuttering a warehouse in the region and eliminating nearly 100 jobs.

Broder Bros. Co., owner of Alphabroder, is permanently closing its Bodek + Rhodes warehouse in Niles, at 2121 W. Chicago Rd., on Sept. 30, according to a state filing in compliance with the Worker Adjustment Retraining and Notification Act.

The closure will result in the termination of 89 temporary workers and three full-time employees.

The layoffs are expected to begin on or near Aug. 1 and continue on a rolling basis through Sept. 30.

The three full-time employees, a manager and two supervisors, are employed by Broder Bros. Co., and the remaining warehouse workers are employed through temp agencies: Tri-State, Trillium, Great Lakes Staffing and Elwood.

The company also provided notice to the four employment agencies.
