A large employer of trade workers with more than 100 summer jobs opportunities is hosting an open house next week.

Tradesman International said last week that it will host the event on June 28 at its Grand Rapids office, at 2515 Alpine Ave. NW, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Tradesman International said it has a network of more than 1,000 construction clients in West Michigan, and its employees have full benefits, including health, dental and life insurance, 401(k) and vacation.

“Our partners are seeking to enhance workforces for the summer construction season by offering more than 100 job opportunities,” said Nick Marcus, general manager, Tradesman International Grand Rapids.

“We can provide job diversity for a variety of trade professionals. However, we foresee the greatest need for craftsmen specializing as journeyman electricians, carpenters, heating/cooling installers and as general construction laborers.”

Career opportunities for various construction trades — such as welders, ironworkers and concrete finishers — will be available at all levels from helpers to apprentices to journeymen.

Tradesman International employs more than 9,000 professionals in North America and operates 150 local offices in 40 states.

The company’s first office opened in Cleveland in 1992.
