Michigan Lawyer’s Weekly will recognize five West Michigan attorneys this fall during the publication’s annual Women in the Law event.

The seventh-annual Women in the Law luncheon and awards ceremony is being held on Sept. 15 at the Detroit Marriott in Troy.

The luncheon recognizes 30 individuals who practice law in Michigan and have made "meaningful and inspiring contributions to the legal community."

Specifically, Women in the Law honorees have shown a commitment to excellence in the practice of law, are inspiring and accomplished leaders in the profession, serve as a mentor to other women and contribute significant time and effort to volunteerism and/or pro bono work.

A committee of Michigan Lawyers Weekly staff selected the class of 2016 Women in the Law honorees from a number of nominations.
