More than 60 restaurants have created special three-course meals for Restaurant Week GR, which starts Wednesday.

Restaurant Week GR runs through Aug. 21, with restaurants across the greater Grand Rapids area pricing their three-course meals at $28.

Many of the restaurants will prepare their three-course meals for one person, while others will prepare their three-course meals for two people — at the same $28 price point.

The seventh-annual event is put together by Experience Grand Rapids with the goal of attracting visitors and residents to try the area's variety of food options.

Each Restaurant Week meal sold contributes $1 to a scholarship fund at the Secchia Institute for Culinary Education at Grand Rapids Community College, which has resulted in more than $110,000 since 2010.
