A new Pilsner is coming from a local brewery.

Founders Brewing Co. in Grand Rapids said yesterday that it will release PC Pils in draft, six packs of bottles and 15 packs of cans across its distribution footprint in October.

PC Pils is a Pilsner, a light lager. Instead of using the traditional Noble hops from Europe for the brew, Founders has utilized American hops, such as Chinook, Cascade and Centennial.

The beer will join All Day IPA as the other Founders offering sold in 15 packs, with a suggested retail price of $17.99.

Founders said PC Pils is the final addition to its seasonal lineup, which also includes Mosaic Promise and Azacca IPA.
