A brewery in the area is releasing a pair of its beers in 15 packs.

Perrin Brewing Co. said today that it will release its Gold Ale and No Problems session IPA in 15-can packages.

The packs will first be released at the Perrin taproom in Comstock Park on Aug. 27 and then at Michigan retailers on Aug. 29.

Perrin Gold Ale was one of the first beers made at the brewery in 2012 and is “light, crisp and subtly sweet.”

The No Problems session IPA has “aromatics of fresh citrus fruits, ripened melon and a distinctive floral bouquet…that finishes in a crisp n’ clean fashion.”

Perrin began distributing in cans last fall.

The packaging helped the brewery grow to 14,000 barrels produced in 2015, a 40-percent increase from 2014.

Last spring, the brewery joined Oskar Blues Holding Co.

Oskar Blues Holding owns Longmont, Colorado-based Oskar Blues, Perrin, Tampa, Florida-based Cigar City and Utah Brewer Cooperative.

Other 15 packs

Founders Brewing Co. began distributing its All Day IPA in 15 packs in 2014. Founders recently announced its new PC Pils will be distributed in 15 packs this fall.

Birmingham based Griffin Claw Brewing Co. distributes its Norm’s Gateway IPA in 15 packs.
