Auto supplier hosts job fair

Auto supplier invests $25M in plant

An auto supplier will host a job fair on Tuesday to fill up to 40 positions.

LG Chem Michigan in Holland, or LGCMI, said it will host on-site interviews in Holland from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Michigan Works!, at 121 Clover St.

Open positions include technical operators, starting at $13.50 per hour, journeyman electricians and production engineers. Additional openings can be found online.

LGCMI said it expects to exceed 450 employees by the end of the year.

LGCMI makes large lithium-ion polymer batteries for electric vehicle and energy storage applications.

LGCMI is a subsidiary of LG Chem, a South Korean company that has global operations focused on petrochemical products, information and electronic materials and energy.

LG Chem is part of the LG Group.
