A new co-working space in the region is open for business.

The Treehuis, a collaborative workspace for startups and small businesses, officially opened yesterday in downtown Holland, at 31 E. 8th St.

Thursday’s grand opening featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Jane Clark, president of the Michigan West Coast Chamber of Commerce.

The event also featured hard cider by Virtue Cider and craft spirits by Coppercraft Distillery.

Currently, seven local companies are tenants of The Treehuis: Burch Partners, Blue Sky Sessions, CurrentIdea, Laketown Capital, Kristine Kaye Interiors, Wedge and ZaCoTech.
