A national computer and mobile device retailer is opening its first store in the state via West Michigan.

Device Pitstop will open Thursday in Grandville, at 3845 Rivertown Pkwy., across from RiverTown Crossings.

Device Pitstop buys, sells, trades, repairs and upgrades computers and mobile devices.

The Grandville store is owned by franchisees Laura Staskiewicz and Todd Staskiewicz, who said most repairs are performed the same day.

The store offers a range of repair services: replacement of screens and batteries; overheating issues; fan replacement; motherboard replacement; video card issues; and more.

It can also upgrade device storage, anti-virus software and operating systems.

Device Pitstop buys used products, including non-working devices, for cash.

The chain works with Windows, Apple, Mac, iPhone and Android devices and parts, largely with resale products that are backed by a 30 day or extended warranty.
