Chamber names EPIC award finalists

The Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce has named 20 finalists for its EPIC Awards.

The chamber’s EPIC awards honor entrepreneurial, progressive, innovative and collaborative, or EPIC, efforts in West Michigan.

The winners will be announced at the 2016 EPIC Awards on Nov. 2 at the Grand Rapids Art Museum, from 5:30-8 p.m.

Winners will be selected in seven categories: Excellence in Business; Small Business of the Year; Nonprofit of the Year; Young Entrepreneur of the Year; Woman-Owned Business of the Year; Minority-Owned Business of the Year; and Veteran-Owned Business of the Year.

Tickets to the event currently cost $40 for chamber members and $45 for non-members. Late registration after Oct. 26 will be $50 for members and $55 for non-members.
