A Michigan-based supplier of marble and stone materials has entered the Grand Rapids market.

Farmington Hills-based Dwyer Marble & Stone said last month it opened a wholesale warehouse in Byron Center, at 160 84th St. SW. It is the company’s second location.

Sourcing from six continents, the warehouse carries more than 5,000 slabs of granite, marble, quartzite, soapstone and other materials in a variety of colors. The company also sells tiles and stone veneers.

Dwyer Marble & Stone said it supplies various markets: contractors, builders, homeowners, architects, designers and fabricators.

The family owned company, founded in 1995, has long “anticipated additional locations,” said Joe Dwyer, president, Dwyer Marble & Stone.

“We look forward to continuing to build our new location, while better serving our customers on the west side of the state and creating new relationships,” Dwyer said.
