A dentist is returning to his roots in the area.

Cedar Springs and Rockford native Dr. Chas Jensen has acquired the dental practice of Dr. Robert Mette in downtown Rockford, at 2 N. Monroe St.

Jensen re-opened the practice last month as Rogue River Family Dental.

Mette retired last month due to health issues.

“Dr. Mette and I have had a lifelong relationship spanning more than 20 years,” Jensen said. “The opening of Rogue River Family Dental brings my career full circle. I am honored to have the opportunity to build upon the solid foundation that Dr. Mette created and nurtured over the past two decades.”

As a former patient of Mette dating back to childhood, Jensen intends to continue the services offered by Mette for generations.

Rogue River Family Dental is “accepting new patients.”

He is a member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association and West Michigan District Dental Society.
