Consulting firm names managing director
A strategic advisory firm has named the head of its West Michigan office.
Bloomfield Hills-based O’Keefe said this week it has named 15-year industry vet Tim Thompson as the managing director of its Grand Rapids location.
Thompson, who has worked in consulting, project management and M&A advisory capacities, will oversee the operations and staff of the office.
Most recently, Thompson was a managing director with FTI Consulting, specializing in organization-wide performance improvement, process re-design, operational cost reduction and back-office optimization.
Previously, Thompson was a member of the corporate M&A team at AECOM Technologies. Over the course of his five years at AECOM, Thompson was involved with more than 20 deals and gained experience leading transactions involving companies with annual revenues ranging from $5 million to $1 billion.
Thompson also has worked as a business analyst with Qwest Communications, now Centurylink, where he assisted the management of a $1-billion capital budget, developed tools to optimize rollouts of new technology and oversaw cost-control efforts.
Thompson holds a bachelor’s in economics from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. with an emphasis in real estate and finance from the University of Colorado Leeds School of Business.
He also holds a PMP certification from the Project Management Institute.
