Construction firm opening new office
A construction firm is expanding its footprint in the region.
Holland-based Elzinga & Volkers said today it will expand with an 1,800-square-foot office in Coldwater, at 285 Division St.
Expected to open in January, the new office will be led by Coldwater native Tony Szafranski.
Along with Szafranski, the firm expects to house up to two project managers, five field managers and construction superintendents, 10 trades people and one office administrator at the location.
Elzinga & Volker’s Facilities Services Division, or FSD, will be based at the office. The FSD is in charge of maintenance and small capital projects across the country. Two members of the FSD management team will remain in Holland, where the division is currently based. The FSD also has members in Texas.
The location will also manage traditional construction projects in southern Michigan and northern Indiana.
The office is already involved in the expansion of Kendall Electric’s distribution center. More projects by the firm's new location are slated to break ground next spring, said Mike Novakoski, president and CEO, Elzinga & Volkers.
“This expansion will benefit our clients with operations in the greater Midwest, and we look forward to bringing our safety culture to the community,” Novakoski said. “Our Coldwater space will serve as a launching point for our team, as they continue to work throughout the region.”
