Daimler Trucks North America has honored a local supplier of trucking products with an award for “quality excellence.”

Hadley, which has its global headquarters in Grandville, said last month it received the Masters of Quality Supplier Award for 2015 during an on-site ceremony.

The company supplies air horns, mechanical and electronic height-control systems and mirror systems to the Freightliner brand of Daimler Trucks North America.

Sixty-four of the more than 1,000 companies supplying Daimler received the 2015 Masters of Quality Supplier Award.

The award is the “highest recognition” Portland, Oregon-based Daimler Trucks North America gives to its suppliers.

The annual program, now in its 29th year, recognizes “outstanding suppliers” that have received high scores on their quality, delivery, technology and cost performance as measured on a balanced scorecard.

The winning suppliers “demonstrate an ongoing commitment to continuously improving the quality of their products and overall performance of their businesses.”

Jim Green, Hadley president, said Hadley is one of 14 award-winning suppliers to have reached six-time-winner status, which he called a “privilege.”

Hadley is a supplier of components and solutions for the Class 5-8 truck and tractor, trailer, transit and shuttle bus, RV, motor coach, rail and specialty vehicle markets, as well as associated aftermarket distribution.
