Surgeon opens practice
An orthopedic surgeon with more than 30 years of experience has opened a practice in town.
Dr. Donald Condit recently announced the opening of the Condit Hand Clinic in Grand Rapids, at 1000 East Paris Ave. SE, which will treat disorders of the hand, wrist and elbow. The clinic is accepting new patients.
Board certified and a graduate of the University of Michigan Medical School, Condit completed his orthopedic residency at Beaumont Hospital and a hand surgery fellowship at the Indiana Hand Center. He also holds a B.S. in pre-professional studies from the University of Notre Dame and an M.B.A. from Grand Valley State University.
Condit is a clinical professor of surgery at the Michigan State University School of Medicine and a clinical instructor for the Grand Rapids campus’ orthopedic surgery residency program.
Prior to returning to private practice, Condit practiced as part of the Spectrum Health Medical Group for two years.
Condit Health Clinic
Condit treats common hand, wrist and elbow disorders and injuries, including emergency care.
Many surgical procedures can be performed at the clinic, and Condit has privileges at local hospitals and surgical centers to accommodate more extensive procedures.
“Treating patients for routine procedures in the comfort of our procedure room eliminates the stress of a hospital or surgical center visit and is often much more affordable,” Condit said. “Having all appointments in one location is very convenient for our patients.”
Condit’s Practice Manager Maureen Vonklompenberg and David Raigh, a nurse who has worked with Condit for more than 20 years, are also part of the practice.
