Bank hires VP of client and community services

A national bank has named a head of community relations in the region.

PNC Financial Services Group said it hired Amy McClain as its VP of client and community services for southwest Michigan.

McClain will manage the local PNC Foundation grant process and PNC’s sponsorships throughout the market.

“We are fortunate to add someone of Amy’s caliber and strong knowledge of how our communities work to our team,” PNC West Michigan Regional President Sean Welsh said. 

McClain’s background

Previously, McClain worked at Kalamazoo-based Stryker for nearly 20 years, most recently serving as community engagement and events manager.

In the role, McClain developed strategies to improve workplace relationships, established and maintained community and employee relationships and worked to maximize Stryker’s impact in Kalamazoo. During her time at Stryker, she was honored by her peers for excellence in performance.

She has also worked as a call center coordinator for Do-It Corporation.

She holds a B.S. in health administration from the University of Phoenix.
