A furniture retailer has opened a new store in the region.

Klingman’s Furniture & Design has opened a location in Holland, at 2975 W. Shore Dr.

The new location is the result of a joint venture with Hegg’s to convert its former 50,000-square-foot showroom to the Klingman’s facility.

“We are thrilled about this new opportunity,” Klingman’s President Jason Israels said.

Much of the Hegg’s staff will remain in place.

The store will carry a wide array of furniture and brands: Wesley Hall; Vanguard; Lee Upholstery; Durham; Norwalk; Precedent; Comfort Design; Palliser; Ekornes; American Leather; Universal; Canadel; Klaussner; Marshfield and more.

The design center also includes Great Lakes Window Coverings and Great Lakes Carpet and Flooring.

“The transition of the store has been wonderful so far,” Hegg’s President Stacie Hegg said. “The showroom has been beautifully updated with new galleries and new life.”

Klingman’s has served the West Michigan area since its founding in 1896 by Phillip Klingman.
