A new bridal boutique has opened in downtown Grand Rapids.

Ali Nicole Bridal opened Tuesday at 52 Monroe Center St. NW.

The boutique is owned by Ali Powell, who said the phrase “let what you love be what you do" inspired her to open the business.

The shop features bridal gowns, bridesmaid dresses and accessories by “up-and-coming designers,” who strive for “high quality, freshness and effortless beauty.”

“Whether your style is romantic, bohemian, casual, whimsy or anything under the sun, this is the place for you to be true to who you are and for us to find you the most perfect dress to match,” Powell said.

Powell said the downtown location is a perfect fit for her vision.

She worked with the building's owner, Grand Rapids-based Rockford Construction, on the build out of the 3,535-square-foot space.

“Being able to work with Rockford to create the boutique of my dreams has been amazing, and I can’t wait to welcome brides into the shop,” Powell said.

Powell described the atmosphere of the boutique as “warm, modern and laid back.”

Ali Nicole Bridal will also offer trunk shows, the first of which is being held this week.

The entire Ivy & Aster collection will be available at the boutique this Friday and Saturday, with limited appointments available.

Powell said Ivy & Aster designs for the “feminine bride” who’s the “perfect combination of sweet and sassy.”

An online calendar will keep customers abreast of upcoming trunk shows and other events.

Appointments are encouraged and can be made online.
