A new coffee shop on the West Side is hosting a grand-opening celebration next week.

Rower’s Club, by Rowster Coffee, said today the event will be on May 20.

The café at Fulton Place, at 616 Fulton St. W, will offer specials from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The day will feature $1 coffees, $1 off all drinks, $2 off whole-bean coffee and buy-one-get-one-free $25 gift cards.

“We are really excited to officially open this location,” said Stephen Curtis, VP, Rowster Coffee. “We have already welcomed so many amazing people to Rower’s Club, and we are looking forward to celebrating this moment with our community.”

The 1,400-square-foot café is highlighted by a community table made from a section of the Mackinac Bridge, while the rest of the seating was completed by the Grand Rapids design firm Studiowise. Grand Rapids-based Rockford Construction completed the space’s build out.

Rowster Coffee also has a location in Grand Rapids' Wealthy Street neighborhood, which opened in 2010, and it will have a location at the Kingma’s Market in Ada.
