A brewery in the area is set to host a weekly farmers market — starting next week.

Cedar Springs Brewing Company said last week it will begin hosting the CSBrew Farmers Market on Thursday mornings, beginning June 8.

The market will run from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. each week, offering produce from area farmers.

“We hope this becomes an asset to the entire community, and our guests should enjoy some of the daily specials Chef Shaun will be preparing using these seasonal ingredients," said David Ringler, owner, Cedar Springs Brewing Company.

The market is intended to "fill a void" created by the closure of markets in the area, such as the Plainfield Township Farmers Market and the Solon Township Farmers Market.

The brewery worked with the City of Cedar Springs, Cedar Springs Area Chamber of Commerce and farmers to help ensure people can buy and sell "affordable and fresh" produce through the new farmers market.

The brewery

Cedar Springs Brewing is an award-winning brewery that opened in 2015 in downtown Cedar Springs.

The brewery makes lines of traditional German-inspired beers under the Kusterer brand, as well as more modern craft styles.

The kitchen at the taproom serves bar fare and traditional German cuisine.
