A local law firm has named two new members to its mergers and acquisitions practice.

Miller Johnson said this month it hired Erik Daly and Dustin Jackson.

The pair will practice out of the firm’s Grand Rapids office.

Miller Johnson’s M&A practice collaborates with clients and their advisors to structure, negotiate and close deals and navigate the challenges that can arise in the context of mergers, acquisitions, dispositions and other business or investment transactions.

Erik Daly

Daly focuses on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate financing, restructurings and securities law matters. He provides counsel to publicly traded and privately held companies and has worked with clients ranging from Fortune 100 companies to family owned businesses.

Daly is a member of the American Bar Association and the State Bar of Michigan.

He earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School and his B.S. from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business.

Dustin Jackson

Jackson specializes in mergers and acquisitions, commercial transactions and general corporate counseling. He has represented clients in domestic and international mergers and acquisitions. Jackson often works with clients in the manufacturing, distribution, automotive, health care, transportation and medical device industries.

He started his law practice at Miller Johnson, then practiced in the Detroit office of Foley & Lardner, before returning as a member to Miller Johnson’s Grand Rapids office.

Jackson is a member of the American Bar Association, State Bar of Michigan and Association for Corporate Growth.
