A local public relations firm has selected a new executive to lead its strategy, operations and culture.

Lambert, Edwards & Associates, or LE&A, said yesterday it hired Rob Dwortz as president and a shareholder in the firm.

Dwortz has 25 years of experience in executive management, capital markets, business ownership and consulting.

He will also launch a business advisory and consulting practice at LE&A, bringing his current consulting business into the firm. Services will include strategic planning, operating tactics, leadership development and transaction services.

“Adding Rob’s business and performance-based leadership acumen to the LE&A team will be a catalyst for our next decade of expansion that will include organic growth, M&A and new service lines and products aimed at accelerating our growth,” said Jeff Lambert, CEO, LE&A.

“Rob led LE&A’s strategic planning efforts as a consultant, which helped our team achieve record sales and profitability in 2016, and this proven track record coupled with the addition of business consulting make this move hugely accretive to our team, our clients and our partners.”

Dwortz said his prior experience will guide him in the new role.

“My perspective as an advisor and operator will help ground LE&A’s creative and marketing services in the bottom-line business priorities of our clients,” Dwortz said. “LE&A has a strong track record and reputation, a leadership position in the market and a deep bench of talent, and I’m excited to lead the team and boost the firm’s momentum.”

Dwortz’s background

Dwortz joins LE&A from his role as a capital-raising and business advisory consultant working with middle-market companies and regional leaders in manufacturing, distribution and business and financial services.

Before that, Dwortz founded and led Strength Property Partners, a private equity firm in Birmingham.

He also spent 15 years in various transaction and management roles at banks in Detroit and Chicago.

Dwortz currently serves on the boards of Grand Rapids Label Company, West Michigan Community Bank and Midwest United Football Club.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Michigan and a master’s degree in finance and strategy from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
