An orthodontic practice has remodeled one of its offices in the area.

Armbrecht & Wierenga Orthodontics re-opened its 3,000-square-foot office in Kentwood, at 2000 43rd St. SE, in May.

The office was closed for five weeks to complete the total remodel, while employees worked out of the practice’s Grandville office.

The remodeling project was completed by Grand Rapids-based First Companies and included several elements: knocking down walls to accommodate a more open work-flow environment; new flooring, cabinets, furniture and dental equipment; coffered ceilings; LED lighting; a larger waiting area for patients; and a larger break room for employees.

“Our goals for the project was to modernize the office and adapt it to fit our current workflow,” orthodontist Mark Wierenga said. “Not only is the environment more aesthetically pleasing for our patients, we are more efficient and can serve them better.”
