A brewery in the area has acquired a retail space next door.

Cedar Springs Brewing Co. said today it secured the former Coldbreak Brewing spot, at 81 N. Main St. NE, beside the brewery in downtown Cedar Springs.

Coldbreak Brewing, which the Business Journal profiled in 2015, is returning to its manufacturing roots, providing an opportunity for David Ringler, the owner of Cedar Springs Brewing Company.

“We enjoyed the working relationship with our friends at Coldbreak Brewing, and we will continue to support them as they return their focus to the manufacturing side of the business,” Ringler said. “The logical step was for us to take over the vacated retail space.”

The newly anointed Cedar Springs Brewery Shoppe sells a variety of brewing and wine-making equipment and supplies.

Classes for brewing, cider-making, wine-making and mead-making will also be offered.

Ringler added that the brewery is “looking forward to bringing our customers an ever-evolving selection of apparel, gifts and classes, with new items arriving regularly.”

The store also carries Cedar Springs Brewing Company merchandise.
