A new brewery has opened in the Grand Rapids area.

Big Boiler Brewing began serving customers late last month in downtown Lowell, at 318 E. Main St.

The brewpub offers an array of beers, brewed in-house, as well as guest taps.

The brewery is a partnership between Brent Slagell, Rick Sauber and Matthew Fouts, who also serves as the brewer.

Drink and food menu

Big Boiler Brewing serves a pale wheat ale, red ale, hefeweizen, extra special bitter, or ESB, Scotch ale and stout.

The brewpub also offers two Perrin Brewing Co. beers, Guinness and Bell’s Brewery Oberon as guest taps.

The brewery features an extensive food menu, ranging from shared plates like Big Brew Chicken Wings and smoked whitefish dip, to surf-and-turf options and sandwiches.
