Annual Restaurant Week on tap
The lunch and dinner menus for Restaurant Week are now available online.
Restaurant Week Grand Rapids, hosted by Experience Grand Rapids, will be held Aug. 9-20. The 12-day event will feature three-course dinners from nearly 70 restaurants, including 15 new participants this year.
Also new this year is the inclusion of a two-course lunch menu at over 25 locations.
“We have successfully promoted Restaurant Week dinners for the past seven years, and felt that it was time to add something new,” said Kate Herron, director of marketing at Experience Grand Rapids. “With lunch having a lower price point, we encourage diners to enjoy the offerings of Restaurant Week GR multiple times at a variety of restaurants.”
Restaurants donate $1 from each meal sold to the Secchia Institute for Culinary Education Student Scholarship Fund at Grand Rapids Community College.
Restaurant Week menus feature a diverse list of choices. Along with locally grown meats and seasonal fresh produce, many of the participating restaurants also are featuring vegetarian selections and ethnic offerings. Reservations are available at some restaurants, but not all.
