A new mobile phone service is entering the West Michigan market.

Comcast recently announced the entry of Xfinity Mobile in a rollout at the Xfinity store in Grand Rapids.

Comcast also announced the service at Xfinity stores in Flint, Jackson, Macomb, Plymouth, Rochester Hills, Sterling Heights and Troy.

Xfinity Mobile includes one of the largest 4G LTE networks with a WiFi network of more than 17 million nationwide hotspots, including more than 830,000 in Michigan.

The wireless service is available to all Xfinity internet customers.

The company offers two data options, along with unlimited nationwide talk and text, for up to five lines, with no line access fees.

The data packages are $45 for unlimited usage per line and $12 per gigabyte of data across all lines on the account. Each user receives 100 megabytes for free across all lines.

Xfinity Mobile also offers popular mobile devices, including Apple iPhones and Samsung phones, with 24-month or one-time payment plans.
