The Grand Rapids Downtown Market is getting a new addition.

Pho616, a restaurant specializing in Vietnamese cuisine, will host its grand opening on Friday, beginning at 10 a.m. in the market, at 435 Ionia Ave. SW.

The new restaurant’s menu will feature traditional Vietnamese pho noodle soup, a Vietnamese-style bread called banh mi, summer rolls, Vietnamese iced coffee and other specialties made by owners Ty Nguyen and Han Lee.

The space also includes a shop with Asian produce, packaged Vietnamese food and other items.

The restaurant will make pho broth according to the Nquyen’s family recipe. The Nguyen family previously ran a pho restaurant on 28th Street.

Pho616 will also offer a Mug Club to customers.

The site features counter seating and a patio area with outdoor tables.
