The Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce has announced 20 finalists for its annual awards celebrating businesses and entrepreneurs.

The chamber said yesterday it has chosen the finalists for its 2017 EPIC Awards, which honor entrepreneurial, progressive, innovative and collaborative efforts in West Michigan.

Each award category recognizes businesses or individuals who are leading the way in growth and innovation, strengthening the business community, enabling collaboration and connections, and accomplishing “incredible endeavors” with their focus on the future, the chamber said.

Winners will be announced during the 2017 EPIC Awards ceremony from 5:30-8 p.m. on Oct. 18 at 20 Monroe Live, at 11 Ottawa Ave. NW.

Tickets, available online, are $60 for chamber members and $80 for non-members, with late registration starting Oct. 11.
