An Italian restaurant in suburban Grand Rapids has relocated.

Vitale’s Ada opened its new location at the former site of O’Brien’s Market and Deli in Ada Village, at 6650 Fulton St. E.

The new 8,000-square-foot, 210-seat restaurant features two large bars and an indoor-outdoor patio area with large folding glass doors and a fireplace.

The restaurant will feature the menu familiar to Ada customers, including antipasti, insalate and zuppa, pastas, specialty pizza, gourmet sandwiches, lunch buffet and more.

“We are excited that our restaurant stands at a gateway to the new Ada Village, and we look forward to sharing in the excitement as Ada continues to grow and become a wonderful destination for dining, shopping and living,” said Angela Polizzi, owner, Vitale’s Ada.

Vitale’s has been in Ada since 1985.

Vitale’s was established by Sam Vitale in 1966.

The first location opened at 834 Leonard St. in Grand Rapids.

It has since expanded to include locations in Ada, Comstock Park, Hudsonville and Zeeland.
