A local brewery is now distributing some of its beers in cans.

The first two brews from New Holland Brewing to hit retail in can form will be Mad Hatter IPA and Hoptronix double IPA, which will be available nationwide in November.

New Holland’s Xtra Time American session beer will also be available exclusively in Michigan before its nationwide release in 2018.

Mad Hatter and Xtra Time will be available on shelves in both six-pack and 12-pack options. Hoptronix will be available as a six-pack and will be phasing out of bottles in 2018.

New Holland will continue to expand its can portfolio throughout 2018, with an announcement in November of other canned brews.

The Holland-based company will continue to offer its beers in bottles, but it plans to focus on canning for its new releases.

“Having cans is going to ultimately benefit our consumer — our beer will be able to travel more places in a package that is desirable for people on the go,” said Brett VanderKamp, founder and president, New Holland Brewing.
