A West Michigan electrical contractor is expanding across the state through a merger.

Zeeland-based Town & Country Group, which serves commercial and residential clients, said this week it completed a merger with Midland-based Pyramid Control, an electrical contractor.

Pyramid Control’s two branches in Midland and Ithaca will now operate under the Town & Country Group name.

With the merger, Town & Country is better positioned to service clients over a wider radius.

“We have some very good customers out there,” said Ken Bing, president and CEO, Town & Country Group. “We increased our staff by about 30 percent, and we’re upwards of 100. The employees can flex between locations as needed, which is another great part of the merger.”

Bing added that Town & Country will retain all staff from Pyramid Control, while adding members to improve its capabilities in Midland and Ithaca.

“As a company, they were not as diversified as we are, so adding some of our services there will create quite a synergy for them,” Bing said.

Town & Country Group serves clients in a variety of industries: agriculture; education; health care; hospitality; and more.

The firm offers a range of services: security cameras; card access; programming logic controllers; audio and video; telephones; fiber optic cabling; and more.
