College kicks off January Series

Calvin College hosts 15 national leaders for January Speaker Series

A month-long speaker series in Grand Rapids is starting on Wednesday.

The Calvin College January Series features 15 speakers on a variety of topics weekdays through Jan. 23.

A range of speakers will be featured during the series: Katherine Boo, a staff writer at The New Yorker and a Pulitzer Prize winner; Kevin Olusola, of the Grammy-winning vocal quintet Pentatonix; and Jeremy McCarter, the co-author of “Hamilton: The Revolution” with Lin-Manuel Miranda; and others.

The event begins at 12:30 p.m. each day in the Covenant Fine Arts Center Auditorium, at 1795 Knollcrest Circle SE.

Each January Series event is shown live on large screens at more than 50 locations.
