A car dealer in the region has expanded its footprint by acquiring another dealership in the state.

Muskegon-based Betten Baker Auto Group has acquired Godfrey Chevrolet Buick in Cadillac and will begin taking over operations immediately.

The dealership is Betten Baker’s 14th location.

“We’re most excited to connect with the people in Cadillac and surrounding communities,” said Bryan Betten, co-owner, Betten Baker Auto Group. “We are ready to serve them with all of their automotive needs.”

Godfrey Chevrolet will be re-branded under the Betten Baker name.

The new owners will retain all current staff and leadership, including Evan Godfrey, who will serve as general manager for the dealership.

“We’re excited to hit the ground running with the existing Godfrey team in Cadillac,” said Chris Baker, co-owner, Betten Baker Auto Group.
