A local distillery plans to release a raspberry liqueur in time for Valentine’s Day.

Long Road Distillers will release its Long Road Raspberry Liqueur on Wednesday, Feb 14., beginning at 4 p.m.

The event will be held in the Rickhouse, on the second floor of the distillery. Two-person seatings are available from 7-8:30 p.m.

In keeping with the Long Road tradition, Long Road Raspberry Liqueur is made with Michigan raspberries from DeLange's Redberry Farm in nearby Hudsonville. The spirit will be available in limited quantities at the distillery next week, and at select retailers and restaurants at the end of February.

“The timing for this release worked out perfectly,” said Kyle Van Strien, co-owner of Long Road Distillers. "We can't imagine a better spirit to highlight on Valentine's Day and to pair with the chocolates we're featuring that evening.”

The release coincides with several other specials Long Road will have for Valentine’s Day, including cocktail and chocolate pairings, featuring Mokaya chocolates crafted with in-house spirits.

The liqueur and chocolates will be available for take-home sales that evening.

Guests can register for the event here.
