A local association of landlords is hosting a conference downtown next week.

The Grand Rapids-based Rental Property Owners Association, or RPOA, will host the annual Michigan Landlord & Real Estate Investor Conference & Expo from Feb. 22-24 at DeVos Place in Grand Rapids.

The conference will feature eight national speakers and several breakout sessions covering wealth-building strategies and techniques.

Fifty exhibitors will be on hand for the event, and RPOA expects to attract 1,000 attendees.

Guest speakers will cover a range of topics: buy and hold; wholesaling; flipping; rehabbing; landlord-ing; Airbnb; multi-family; investing with little or no cash; buying notes; self-directed individual retirement account investing; and more.

This event is free to attend, but attendees must register online.

The Rental Property Owners Association was founded in 1968.

The association offers members classes, free limited legal advice, free credit reports, free online forms, networking groups, accountability groups and more.
