Editor:

I am sickened by continuing proposed legislation that rewards the rich and is devastating to the “common man” and the poor.

After voting Republican my whole life because of pro-life (with the exception of 2016), it has become abundantly clear to me what the Republican party is all about, and I will choose not to vote Republican ever again.

Taking away health care, protection for working people and gutting funding to public schools will make us weaker as a nation. This legislation will be devastating. It makes me sad to think that someday we will no longer be the superpower in the world, but that is where we are headed.

In one of the favorite words of our great leader: “Sad.”
