Downtown hosting Governor's Conference on Tourism

A Michigan tourism conference is coming to downtown Grand Rapids next week.

The 2018 Pure Michigan Governor’s Conference on Tourism, presented by the Michigan Lodging and Tourism Association, will be March 27-29 at the Amway Grand Plaza, at 187 Monroe Ave. NW.

The conference will feature events, speakers and exhibitors and address many facets of the industry, including worker diversity.

Keynote speakers include Sarah Sladek of XYZ University, Candace Matthews of Amway, Dave Lorenz of Travel Michigan and Jack Johnson of Destinations International.

One of the events is a career fair from 1-4 p.m. on March 29. Employers and job seekers can register and find more information on the event’s web page.  

Registration for the full conference is $369 and $169 for students, with varying prices for one-day tickets. People can register online.
