The Grand Rapids Public Library Foundation is producing a “white-glove” fundraiser downtown tomorrow night.

The Treasures of Your Library: White Glove Event will be from 5-7 p.m. at the Main Library, at 111 Library St. NE.

The fundraiser will “celebrate women” and give people the rare opportunity to view library archives of impactful local women of the past and present.

Many will be able to comb through archival items wearing white cotton gloves to handle delicate materials and photographs.

There will also be pop-up exhibits that tell the stories of women who were or are trailblazers in the Grand Rapids community.

Tickets are $75, and the funds will go toward library programs and collections.

The tickets can be purchased online at grplfoundation.org or by calling (616) 988-5399.
