The reserve line of a brewery’s top beer is soaring to new heights.

New Holland Brewing said last week it is releasing Dragon’s Milk Reserve Cherry Chocolate, the newest addition to the Dragon’s Milk Reserve family.

The reserve bourbon-barrel stout is available at New Holland pubs and being rolled out for full retail and restaurant distribution.

“Chocolate is a flavor that is already present in Dragon’s Milk when it comes out of the barrel,” said Joel Petersen, VP of sales, New Holland Brewing. “Obviously, that just couples extremely well with the cherry flavor.”

Standard Dragon’s Milk is available year-round. The reserve series provides new, limited-time interpretations of the brewery’s flagship stout.

“The reserve series allows our brewers to express their creativity,” said Brett VanderKamp, president, New Holland Brewing. “We continue to be amazed at the ways Dragon’s Milk can play with different flavors.”

Previous reserve editions have included salted caramel, s’mores and mocha mint.
