A local realtor has been honored as one of the top 30 rising brokers in the nation under 30.

Realtor magazine, the official publication of the National Association of Realtors, named Amanda DeLong to its 2018 class of 30 Under 30.

DeLong is a realtor and associate broker with Patriot Realty in Grand Rapids Township.

Each year, Realtor magazine selects 30 up-and-coming realtors based on business success, professional leadership, community involvement and geographic and ethnic diversity.

Recipients were honored at the association’s recent 30 Under 30 summit in Denver.

A realtor since 2014, DeLong earned her associate broker’s license in 2017.

DeLong’s practice focuses on assisting first-time homebuyers, sellers and investors. Patriot Realty said she also represents clients from "varied and diverse backgrounds."

In selecting DeLong for its 30 Under 30 class, Realtor magazine noted her recent representation of a Chinese client who does not speak English. DeLong was able to communicate with him via Google Translate, successfully out bidding multiple offers and helping him become a first-time homebuyer.

DeLong holds several professional designations: Accredited Buyer’s Representative; Graduate Realtor Institute; Pricing Strategy Advisor; and International Real Estate Practitioner.

She earned a B.A. in business marketing, with a minor in psychology, from Calvin College.
