Farmers are coming out of the fields to educate shoppers about locally produced food.

The Ottawa County Farm Bureau and The Shops at Westshore are hosting the Farm to Food Expo on June 9 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event will be held at The Shops at Westshore in Holland, at 12331 James St.

Visitors will have the chance to meet local farmers and ask questions about food production.

The event will also feature product samples, exhibits, food trucks and live animals.

“Educating consumers about where their food comes is something that is weaved through everything we do here at Ottawa County Farm Bureau,” said Joe Austin, event chair.

“Ottawa County producers want to tell their story. They are proud of what they do and that they have the privilege to feed their neighbors.”

The event is free and open to the public.
