The Grand Rapids Home for Veterans is getting a special gift on Saturday.

Orion Construction in Grand Rapids and the Finish the Mission Relief Fund will present a $25,000 check to the home at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans Family Carnival.

The funds are a donation for the home’s repairs and renovations.

The money was raised during a motorcycle raffle by Orion Construction at The Freedom Cruise in Grand Rapids last month.

Orion Construction president John Wheeler and Freedom Cruise organizer Tom Antor will present the check to the home, as well as the keys to the motorcycle, a 2014 Harley-Davidson Softail Slim, to the winner of the raffle.

The carnival at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans will be from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. The check presentation and bike giveaway will be at 12:45 p.m.

The carnival usually attracts about 2,000 spectators.
