The Arena District is hosting a fiesta on Saturday.

The first Downtown Fiesta will be at Rosa Parks Circle, from 3-9 p.m., to celebrate Grand Rapids’ Latino culture and contributions.

The event will feature live music, dancing, traditional foods and drinks.

General admission is free, and the cantina cover for those 21 and older is $10.

Discounted tickets are available online.

Live music

The event will feature live music by various acts: Carlos David, Los Gallos De Oro, Los De Afuera, Son De Mexico, Cabildo and Latin Dynasty.

Beneficiary

Plaza Comunitaria will receive 10 percent of the profits from the event.

The nonprofit is focused on adult literary for Spanish-speaking people. It is a partnership between Grand Valley State University, Steepletown Neighborhood Services and the Mexican Consulate in Detroit.
