In 30 years Habitat for Humanity of Kent County has constructed nearly 350 houses to help local families become homeowners. To celebrate, they’re hosting a benefit concert with proceeds benefitting Habitat Kent’s 30th Anniversary Build. To celebrate these achievements and commit itself to an even brighter future, Habitat Kent has partnered with local Van Morrison tribute artist Mark VandenBerge to entertain its sponsors and friends with a concert on April 26, 7:30 p.m. at the Forest Hills Fine Arts Center, 600 Forest Hills Ave SE. VandenBerge and the Moondance Orchestra will perform fully orchestrated renderings of some of Van Morrison’s greatest hits. Hark Up Ministry’s community choir will round out the evening’s entertainment with several gospel songs. Intertwined with the music will be stories from Habitat’s friends and family. General admission tickets are available through Habitat for Humanity of Kent County. More information about tickets and the concert is available at www.HabitatKent30.com or by calling 616-774-2431.
