Seniors aged 60 and over: Is your vehicle a perfect fit for you to maximize your driving safety and comfort? Find out at a FREE CarFit checkup, Saturday, May 10, at Baker College of Muskegon. During a 20-minute checkup, you will learn how to use and adjust your vehicle’s safety devices as Baker College students in the occupational therapy assistant program review a 12-point checklist designed to enhance driving safety and comfort. To schedule a 20-minute appointment, call 877.926.8300. Space is limited, so don’t wait. Vehicle identification number (VIN) etching will also be available. It helps deter vehicle theft. CarFit is a national program developed by AAA, AARP and the American Occupational Therapy Association. It provides a quick, comprehensive check on how well older drivers “fit” their vehicles. Despite often being the safest drivers, the elderly are more likely to be seriously injured in a crash due to the greater fragility of their aging bodies.
