Schedule Features Gitomer Expo
It is a philosophy many small businesses have to adopt in order to stay ahead of the competition. And it’s often the pat answer when small business owners are asked how everything gets accomplished.
And before Wednesday is over, all small businesses will have been honored and two will earn coveted recognition (see accompanying stories ) with Small Business of the Year awards.
Over the course of the day the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce has put together a schedule to both educate and entertain small businesses in the area.
For $50 for chamber members and $90 for nonmembers, attendees at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel can enjoy the agenda for the day beginning at 7 a.m with a continental breakfast.
The Small Business Expo will run from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Crown Foyer.
John Brown, president of the chamber, will open the proceedings with a welcome at 7:50.
Minutes later, Standard Federal will introduce the seminar’s keynote speaker, Jeffery Gitomer, motivational speaker and columnist for the Grand Rapids Business Journal.
Gitomer’s seminar will concern one of his favorite topics, “Customer Satisfaction Worthless; Customer Loyalty is Priceless”
The seminar winds up at 11, in time for some networking in the Networking/Small Business Expo in the Crown Foyer
The noon luncheon features a welcome by Scott Ellison, of Byron Center State Bank, Seth Bovee, of National City Bank, and Cindy Havard, of Cole’s Quality Foods Inc.
During the luncheon, Ellison, Bovee and Gitomer also he trio also will make the presentation of the 2003 Small Business of the Year Awards.
