Fall Parade Starts Today
Today marks the beginning of the Fall Parade of Homes sponsored by the Home and Building Association of Greater Grand Rapids. This year’s annual parade runs Sept. 26 through Oct. 11, with 90 brand new homes in many styles, price ranges and areas of town.
The Fall Parade of Homes offers modest starter homes from under $100,000 to those approaching the half-million range in various communities, making it a close drive for everyone in town.
All homes on the parade are constructed by licensed, professional builder members of the Home and Building Association of Greater Grand Rapids (HBAGGR). There are 73 single-family homes and 17 condominiums open for touring from 5:30-8:30 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays and 1-8:30 p.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The parade is closed on Thursdays and Sundays.
Tickets are $12 for adults, ages 13 and older, and $6 for children, ages 2-12, and can be purchased at any home on the tour or at the HBAGGR offices at 2021 44th St. SE.
Free maps to all the homes are available at the parade information booth located in the lobby of Studio 28 Theater, which also offers color renditions of each of the homes on the tour and reading material about features of each home.
